Suffolk Cadet Squadron 10 hurricane fund-raising efforts approach $12,000.   Goal is $50,000 by October  Squadron 10 Commander Maj. Michael Kelly and  Cadets Mary Gotay and Michael Gotay collect funds for Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. The squadron has raised almost $12,000 since Labor Day.

Wisconsin members operate mobile command post in Mississippi.  Vehicle equipped with complete on-board communications, technology package.  Wisconsin Wing Mobile Command Post and Communications Center up and running at Hawkins Field Airport near Jackson, Miss.

CAP hurricane relief operations continue in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama.  Hundreds of members involved in damage-assessment, emergency official transport, missing person searches.  Aerial image shot by a Louisiana Wing aircrew using Civil Air Patrol's satellite-transmitted digital imaging technology during a damage-assessment mission Aug. 31. The mission was flown at the request of the Louisiana Department of Homeland Security.
